Supporting autism, ADHD, and complex needs through music psychotherapy
Book a ConsultationI'm Grace Kuhl, HCPC-Registered Music Psychotherapist specialising in neurodivergent affirming care. I support individuals with autism, ADHD, PMLD and special educational needs, using a person-centred and trauma-informed approach.
Through music therapy, I create a safe space where every individual's unique expression is valued and celebrated. My practice is built on the foundation of respect, understanding, and the transformative power of music as a therapeutic medium.
Personalized sessions that use music as a therapeutic medium to address emotional, cognitive, physical, and social needs. No musical background required.
Comprehensive evaluations and reports documenting therapeutic progress, suitable for educational, medical, or personal development contexts.
Educational sessions for caregivers and professionals on using music therapeutically to support neurodivergent individuals in daily life.
I honour each person's communication style, sensory needs, and rhythm of engagement. Sessions are collaborative and respect your autonomy, interests and pace.
My approach is firmly rooted in:
Celebrating the unique neurological differences as natural variations in the human genome, not as deficits to be fixed.
Building therapy around your unique needs, preferences, and goals—you lead the way, I provide support.
Creating a safe therapeutic environment that recognizes the prevalence of trauma and its impact on development and mental health.

No musical experience is needed. Music therapy is about expression and connection, not performance or skill.
I work with clients of all ages, from young children to adults.
Music therapy supports emotional, sensory, and communication development through sound and relationship — not lessons. The focus is on the therapeutic process and personal growth, not learning musical skills.
Sessions are tailored to individual needs but typically involve musical improvisation, playing instruments, singing, or listening to music therapeutically. The exact structure depends on your specific goals and preferences.
